Cooking Dried Beans


 Cooking beans in the Instant Pot couldn't be easier.  No soaking required.

Directions:

Empty a 1lb. sack of beans in your IP.  It doesn't matter what kind, then add 6 cups of water and if you want to season them, add some ham chunks or 2-3 slices of bacon, or a tablespoon of bacon grease.  Add salt and pepper to taste.

Pressure them for 1 hr, let steam release and taste.  Usually they will be tender, but if they still have a bit of bite to them, pressure them again for an additional 10-15 minutes.

They never burn, never boil over, you don't have to watch them.   So easy...
